2aid.org e. V. is a German non-profit organisation initiated by Anna Vikky in 2009
with an initial focus on efficient and sustainable assistance, globally networked over Social Web, guided by experience, run by youngsters to fight global poverty.

Our work is not only helping people to survive another day.

Our focus is also to encourage, inform and inspire wealthy people (like you and me) in the western world to make faster changes at a long run to end all kind of poverty around the world – to have access to basic necessities, health care and education — all within a peaceful environment.

2aid.org wants to generate opportunities to poorest people. At 2aid.org everyone who likes to make the world a better place for all, gets a voice. 2aid.org has experts from all sectors of life, e.g. Entrepreneurs, Artists, Activists and Thinkers - who advise our young Project Directors and give the guideline for a successful result.

We operate and work in partnership with international and local grassroots organisations, to generate opportunities to poorest people in the world. 2aid.org operates by funding and overviewing projects of local partners which were selected under several criteria to ensure great help.

2aid.org maintains a small scale administrative set-up in order to ensure that a large majority of funds we raise are given directly to the projects on the field.

2aid.org’s first project:

Safe Water Clean safe drinking Water. It is at the heart of a daily crisis faced by a billion of the world’s most vulnerable people — a crisis that threatens life and destroys livelihoods on a devastating scale. It kills more people than a War! Every day water-related diseases claim the lives of 4.500 children under the age of five. That’s roughly one every 15 seconds. This is a silent crisis experienced by the poor, and tolerated by those with the resources, technology, and the political power to end it. Yet this is a crisis that is holding back human progress, consigning large segments of humanity to lives of poverty, vulnerability, and insecurity. 2aid.org is going to fight it!

How we work in the field:

• The local community will be included from the start of the project

• Community leader and our local partner select the best place for a new well

• A group of 6 people of the community will be formed who get trained in maintaining the well and get instructions about hygiene

• After the project is finished 2aid.org supporters / donors get informed over Social Network about the success and result. A cameraman will shoot a film and take pictures of the whole process on the field

• Quarterly our local partner will visit, document and create a report of the community’s wellbeing. 2aid.org will forward this report the supporters / donors.
